Step 3: Add Your Post Title

  1. At the top of the editor, you’ll see a field labeled Add Title.
    • Click it and type the title of your post. Make it clear and engaging!

Step 4: Write Your Post Content

  1. Below the title field is the main content editor. Start typing your post here.
  2. Use the formatting toolbar to style your text:
    • Bold: Highlight text and click the B button.
    • Italics: Highlight text and click the I button.
    • Headings: Click the “+” or “Paragraph” dropdown to add headings.
    • Lists: Use the bullet or numbered list buttons to organize content.
  3. To add an image, click the + (Add Block) button, select Image, and upload or select your file.

Step 5: Add a Category

Step 7: Add Tags (Optional)

  1. Scroll down in the Post Settings panel to the Tags section.
  2. Enter relevant keywords separated by commas (e.g., “travel, photography, tips”).

Step 8: Preview Your Post

  1. At the top-right corner, click the Preview button.
    • Choose Preview in New Tab to see how your post will look on the site.

Step 9: Publish Your Post

  1. When you’re happy with your content, go to the top-right corner of the screen and click the Publish button.
  2. WordPress will ask you to confirm. Click Publish again to make the post live.

Best Practices

  • Use Eye-Catching Titles: Your title is the first thing readers see, so make it compelling.
  • Add High-Quality Images: Use clear, relevant images that enhance your content.
  • Use Categories and Tags Effectively: They help organize your site and make it easier for readers to find related content.
  • Proofread: Double-check your content for spelling and grammar errors before publishing.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Can’t Find the Categories Panel?
Ensure you’re in the Post tab of the settings panel, not the Block tab.
  • Preview Not Loading?
Save your draft and refresh the page before trying again.
  • Featured Image Not Showing?
Check your theme settings, as some themes handle featured images differently.

By following these steps, you’ll be able to create polished and professional posts in WordPress.
