Non-Compete Policy

BelfastIT Ltd is committed to protecting its legitimate business interests, including but not limited to proprietary information, trade secrets, and customer relationships. This Non-Compete Policy is designed to prevent conflicts of interest and unfair competition among employees during and after their employment with the organization.

Purpose: The purpose of this Non-Compete Policy is to:

  1. Safeguard the organization’s confidential and proprietary information.
  2. Protect customer relationships and goodwill.
  3. Ensure fair competition and prevent unfair advantage gained through knowledge gained during employment.

Scope: This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and consultants of BelfastIT Ltd.

Non-Compete Agreement:

  1. During Employment:

    • Employees are prohibited from engaging in any outside business activities or employment that directly competes with the products or services offered by BelfastIT Ltd.
    • Employees are restricted from soliciting or accepting business from any clients or customers of BelfastIT Ltd for personal gain or for the benefit of a competing business.
  2. Post-Employment:

    • For a specified period after the termination of employment, employees are prohibited from engaging in a business that directly competes with BelfastIT Ltd within a defined geographic area.
    • Employees are restricted from soliciting or accepting business from any clients or customers of BelfastIT Ltd for personal gain or for the benefit of a competing business.

Exceptions: This Non-Compete Policy does not prohibit employees from engaging in general employment after the termination of their employment with BelfastIT Ltd. However, the employee is still bound by the confidentiality and non-solicitation clauses outlined in this policy.

Confidentiality and Trade Secrets: Employees are required to maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information, trade secrets, and other sensitive information belonging to BelfastIT Ltd during and after their employment.

Enforcement: Violation of this Non-Compete Policy may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to termination of employment. Legal action may be pursued to enforce the terms of the policy.

Review: This Non-Compete Policy will be reviewed annually or as needed to ensure its continued effectiveness, compliance with legal requirements, and alignment with organizational goals.
